After the Download is Complete
Your web browser is most likely set up to automatically expand the downloaded file and put it on the Finder desktop or in your download folder when done.
If the name of the downloaded file ends with .smi or .dmg, double click it. An Empire Express disk image will appear on your desktop. Open it and find the Empire Express folder. Drag this folder to any convenient location on your hard drive. On Mac OS X, we recommend placing the Empire Express folder in your Applications folder.
If the name of the downloaded Empire Express file ends with .bin, you will need to use StuffIt Expander to expand the file. If you don't have StuffIt Expander it can be downloaded from Allume Systems or one of the shareware sites. You can then move the Empire Express folder to any convenient location on your hard drive.
