Empire Express is now sold exclusively through Apple’s Mac App Store.
If you have have the version 2.2 public beta installed on your Mac, it will be updated to the final version when you purchase Empire Express Deluxe from the App Store. If you have version 2.1 or earlier installed and you want to upgrade to Empire Express Deluxe read the section below.

Upgrading from Empire Express 2.1 or earlier to Empire Express Deluxe
The App Store does not support upgrading applications purchased at other stores, so it is not possible to offer a lower, upgrade price for people who have purchased Empire Express from Kagi. (Kagi was our previous store and has gone out of business.)

If you decide to upgrade, here are the steps we recommend:
- If you’ve created any custom Catalog documents, drag the documents out of the Catalog folder that’s in the Empire Express folder.
- Drag the Empire Express folder to the Trash.
- Purchase Empire Express Deluxe from the App Store.
- If you’ve created any custom Catalog documents, use Empire Express Deluxe’s “Show Catalog in Finder” command to open the Catalog folder and drag your custom Catalog documents to the appropriate subfolders.
